Technology in Music Education
TiME UK (Technology in Music Education) is a national membership organisation established in 2018 to advance the role of music technology across education and creative learning. Representing more than 1,000 practitioners and organisations, it connects teachers, schools, music hubs, universities, technology companies, researchers and policymakers, helping bridge the gap between the education sector and the music-technology industry.
Its work spans professional development and training, policy and advocacy, accessible and adaptive music technology, community music, careers and workforce development, and the practical use of new technology in classrooms. TiME also provides a platform for technology companies to engage directly with educators and supports innovation through partnerships, events, resources and industry programmes. Its strong emphasis on inclusion and accessibility, particularly for SEND learners, gives it a distinctive role within the UK’s music education ecosystem.
