Zebra Music is a family-run independent guitar specialist based in Ilkeston, Derbyshire, with roots dating back to 1983. Originally established by Rob Swain, the business is now run by his son Rob Junior, who took over the day-to-day operation in 2020 before the shop was rebranded from Zebra Muzik to Zebra Music in 2025. The retailer has a particularly strong focus on guitars, basses, amplifiers, pedals, accessories and parts, stocking brands including PRS, Tanglewood, Fender, Gibson, Taylor, Crafter, JET, Ortega, Vintage and NuX, alongside a substantial pre-owned selection. Every guitar is professionally inspected and set up before dispatch, reinforcing the company’s emphasis on personal service and technical expertise rather than simply competing on price.
Zebra also provides guitar repairs and setups, music lessons and click-and-collect from its Ilkeston store, while its online operation serves customers throughout the UK.
