While platforms like eBay and Reverb have made their mark, reSound offers a distinct value proposition by focusing exclusively on high-quality, pre-loved, and refurbished musical instruments.

We are building a marketplace that recreates the old-school experience of visiting a local music store and meeting the owner who can advise on finding the best musical instrument and not being ripped-off by some anonymous seller! This personalised touch in the digital domain helps us build strong, lasting relationships with our customers.

  • Strategic Partnerships: Partnering with manufacturers and music industry leaders helps us tap into existing networks and communities of musicians.
  • Mission to Inspire Youth: Our mission includes getting young people involved in music. We partner with charities and work on projects that provide instruments and music education to underprivileged youth, fostering the next generation of musicians.
  • Events and Collaborations: Hosting virtual launch events, live Q&A sessions with musicians, and partnering with sustainability advocates to reach a wider audience.
  1. What does success for reSound look like in the short and medium term?

In the short term, success for reSound means establishing a solid user base of musicians and sellers, ensuring a diverse and high-quality inventory, and achieving strong engagement metrics on our platform. We aim to onboard at least 150 reputable retailers and list over 10,000 unique instruments within the first year.

In the medium term, we envision reSound becoming the go-to marketplace for pre-loved musical instruments globally. This includes expanding our technological capabilities, such as enhancing our AI tools for better user experiences, and fostering a vibrant community of musicians who trust and advocate for our platform.

Our goal is to reach $1 billion in market valuation within five years by continuously innovating, expanding our reach, and maintaining our commitment to quality, trust, and sustainability. Our early success, with significant traction and high-profile listings, indicates we’re on the right path to achieving these milestones.

We also plan to expand our platform into the EU and USA, ensuring our global reach and providing musicians worldwide with access to our trusted marketplace. Additionally, we will expand the platform to allow consumers to sell their instruments directly to retailers, unifying this fragmented part of the market.
