Vox have announced a handful of very impressive new releases ahead of their official unveiling at NAMM 2026!
The AC30 Hand-Wired Greenback delivers the classic Vox AC30 sound with a warmer, more mid-focused voice. Built using hand-wired construction, vintage-accurate circuitry, and period-correct materials, it faithfully recreates the feel and response of early ’60s originals. Dual 12″ Celestion G12M Greenback speakers introduce earlier breakup, smoother highs, and a darker midrange character, making this version ideal for players seeking classic British tone with a more controlled, saturated response for stage and studio use.
At its heart, the EL84 power section and custom-engineered power supply recreate the natural voltage sag of a 1963 AC30, delivering exceptional touch sensitivity and harmonic depth. Custom-wound output transformers and a 12mm birch ply cabinet contribute to an open, resonant sound, while features such as a tube-driven spring reverb, transparent FET-buffered effects loop, and flexible speaker outputs ensure modern usability without compromising vintage character.
The AC30 Hand-Wired Head faithfully reconstructs the sound and response of a vintage 1963 Vox AC30 in a flexible 30-watt head format. Featuring hand-wired circuitry, custom transformers, and a newly designed power circuit that recreates classic voltage sag, it captures the harmonic complexity, dynamic compression, and touch sensitivity that define the original copper panel models, while remaining quiet and reliable for modern performance environments.
Offering Normal and Top Boost channels with iconic Vox voicing, the AC30 Hand-Wired Head blends vintage authenticity with modern refinements such as a master volume that is removed from the circuit when fully engaged, a tube-driven spring reverb, and a transparent FET-buffered effects loop. Designed to pair effortlessly with the V212x hand-wired speaker cabinet, it delivers unmistakable British chime, rich overdrive, and expressive feel — a true recreation of a legendary amplifier, built for today’s players.
The Vox VFZ-1 and VTB-1 represent a nod to classic British pedal circuits re-engineered for modern players. The VFZ-1 is a fuzz pedal that revisits the iconic two-transistor Mk 1.5 fuzz design, delivering vintage-style saturation, smooth compression, and rich overtone character, but with modern stability, low noise, and a high input impedance that works well with buffered pedals and wahs — features that make it far more pedalboard-friendly than many historic fuzz circuits. Controls like Bass Cut and Tone Cut, along with a Crunch mode for lower-gain overdrive tones, give players wide tonal shaping options. Meanwhile, the VTB-1 Treble Booster revisits classic Rangemaster-style boost circuitry with a silicon transistor voiced to emulate the feel of vintage germanium designs, adding clarity, bite, and dynamic interaction with tube amps. A FAT switch broadens its usable range, offering both focused treble lift and a fuller-range boost that helps cut through mixes while enhancing natural amp response — ideal for complementing both classic and modern rigs.
