Rocksteady Music School
Rocksteady Music School is a UK music education provider specialising in inclusive, performance-based rock and pop band lessons delivered in primary schools. Founded from music teacher Mark Robinson’s vision of making music accessible to every child, the organisation has grown to become Europe’s largest rock and pop school, partnering with thousands of schools across the UK. Its weekly lessons allow children to learn instruments including guitar, drums, keyboard and vocals in bands, with an emphasis on creativity, teamwork, confidence, wellbeing and self-belief rather than traditional one-to-one tuition.
Rocksteady provides the instruments, handles administration and parent communication, and offers an exam-free, Ofqual-regulated music qualification accredited by Trinity College London. The company also has a strong focus on inclusion, supporting children with SEND, EAL and additional behavioural needs and offering bursary and flexible funding options to help remove financial barriers to participation.
