Olivia brings over 15 years of experience in the musical instrument industry to her role with the Music Industries Association. In her current position with Yamaha Music Europe (UK), she supports the development of the company’s Band & Orchestral division, working closely with retailers, educators, and performing musicians to promote music-making worldwide.

Her career in the music industry began with woodwind specialists and oboe makers Howarth of London, where she developed global partnerships and supported both professional and student musicians. Before joining Yamaha, Olivia gained further experience in the UK distribution sector, representing major international brands and specialising in the woodwind and brass instrument market.

Alongside her MIA commitments, she is a Trustee of the National Concert Band Festival, advocating for the growth of wind bands and big bands across the UK. A trained saxophonist and clarinettist, Olivia studied Music at Goldsmiths, University of London, and serves as a British Army Reservist with The Regimental Band of the Honourable Artillery Company.

Beyond music, Olivia is also a professional photographer, freelance web designer, and keen runner, regularly taking part in long-distance events.
